will always keep you in a game. If that was our team vs Wisky we'd be down two TD's and all ground up but psu's D is strong and aggressive.

I don’t think we will find out about that this year as much as the talk will be the importance of a good OL..
I hope it doesn’t turn into like 14 years ago when it was generally accepted that you just can’t recruit good OL in Indiana because it isn’t Wisconsin.
of course my greater hope is that I’m pleasantly surprised and our OL shows out
You seem to be more of a Penn St fan than that of Purdue. I've seen you post twice that Wisky will lose to Penn St and now this?
Pat , got that wrong , I live in the state and hate psu, just my pick today. Just sayin, you have to be impressed w/ their D, they have lived on the field and given up O points. Our excuse would be we are gettng worn down by their massive OL.

Well, the fact that Mertz looks horrendous makes Penn St look better than they probably are. Not saying Purdue would stop Wisconsin's rushing game by any means.
still think their D makes him look bad, look w/ our past performances and how many of these unknown or young QB's look like AA's vs our D. psu has 43 yds and one first down in the half. I don't think we would hold any opponent to O pts w/ that stat, eberyone here would be sayin our D has worn down to being on the field too long. Not arguing just my observation.
I agree that PSU’s D is hanging tough but if it isn’t for 4 or 5 bad miscues from Wisc, they are down as much as 17-0 at half. The fumble, the intentional grounding, and the block over the middle on that short a fg has very little to do with PSU’s D. Wisc shot themselves in the foot way too many times. If they lose this game I promise their coaches will be showing them how much they could have been ahead by eliminating self induced mistakes.
