Apparently, the next motive force in College sports is the NIL Collective. Essentially, they are groups of donors, who form a collective to provide NIL money for kids that go to the school they support. NIL deals aren't SUPPOSED to be used as inducements for kids to go to a specific school, since that's against NCAA rules. Unfortunately, the rules that they have for NIL are a bit vague and ambiguous, so you can see them being challenged or at least tested.
There's a big flap currently, because a Five Star HS Junior QB (not Manning) is alleged to have received an $8Million dollar offer from a Collective, which sounds like pay for play. No details on the school or player involved yet.
There are currently 36 collectives associated with 29 schools. The following schools in the B1G have Collectives:
-- IU - 2
-- IL
-- MD
-- O$U
-- PSU - 2
Obviously, Purdue is missing from the list. Venturing a guess, I would expect to see Purdue become the 14th school in the B1G to get a Collective.
What's your reaction to this? Good thing? Bad thing? Oh Hell No, it's the end of College Sports?

Inducement concerns fuel fears for coaches, administrators amid $8 million name, image and likeness deal
A reported $8 million NIL contract sounds like an inducement, but can it even be regulated?
