When people can’t afford to fill up their gas tanks, advising them to buy an expensive electric car is insulting.

What’s next? Is the WH going to buy everyone in middle America an electric car?

or just buy electric cars for the college graduates?

And never mind the fact that the infrastructure isn't even close to being in place to support EVs and what about all the rolling blackouts that could/will happen here this summer? How are you supposed to charge your vehicle to get to work?

That is the problem with the left, they are too narrowminded and don't see the long term or bigger picture outside of their narrative buzzword salad.

And I love that they completely ignore the grid issues while pushing this. They keep warning about rolling blackouts in Indiana, we've never had to even think about that before, but liberals answer is to push even more on a grid that is stressed to a breaking point all while pushing policies for "green" electric generation which only continues to destabilize the grid.

They completely ignore how fast and how expensive putting chargers into apartment houses, homes (everyone is gonna want their own stall and not wait in line), parking garages, office complexes and converting the convenience stores into consistent, reliable and affordable electrification (how many fill ups can be done in an hour on 8,10,1 2 stalls)? MASSIVE problem no one on the left even talks about.

He thinks that will drive a huge “green” economic boom. The truth is many of the doorknobs who think going green is priority 1 can’t afford electric cars, can’t afford the required electrical upgrades to their homes (if they even have one) can’t afford the increased costs passed on by utilities to pay for improved transmission and generation capability required to support hundreds of millions of EVs, trucks, mowers, etc.

The truth is that most of those "doorknobs" don't have to afford anything because they are in Congress and don't really have to spend their own money for transportation.

If automakers hit their projected EV sales, there will be enough batteries for about 1 in 10 cars.

It's because the left is mostly made up of morons who lack the ability to analyze different angles of a situation before spouting off about it. They're the party of "lack of impulse control", so the first thought that comes to mind usually comes out of their mouth.
