The 09-10 team went undefeated in conference play then proceeded to lose three straight games in early January. One of those was at home to an average Ohio State team and one on the road to a crappy Northwestern team (does this sound familiar). I guess I remember them going on that losing streak, but don’t remember many of the details. Did the simply play bad? Were there injuries? It’s hard to believe that the team we saw later that year before Hummel went down could lose three straight Big Ten games. What turned it around?
