That was a TD

Great game might be ending on a horrible call.

Reminds me of the sweet 16 game.
nope

You didn't lose on that call.

You can argue they should have let it go another half second, but the referee had ruled on forward progress. Play is over at that moment.

Heupel screwed the pooch in regulation. Absolutely horrendous play-calling, with all those time outs.

Didn’t realize it was still a rule to help the runner like that. So they’re a little coach err big coach needs to keep his mouth shut

refs could have called pi on almost every pass play. tennessee was hitting us before the ball arrived all game long. some were called but more were missed so i dont feel bad if they
Yeah, it’s really pathetic watching teams that do that, and then of course we don’t do anything close to that so we just get toasted going down field. Geez

Get over it…
Purdue’s second and third-stringers outclassed UT’s best for most of the game…

Purdue OWNS the Vols!!!
That’s the only part that matters, you’re exactly right we had our JV players in and if they can’t be as my 50 then hell they shouldn’t be on the field. Completely outclassed

there were many calls in past years that have gone against purdue. it's time we received a favorable call. as for tenn, you had your chances earlier in the game. Missed opportunities usually end up being losses.

I felt the game was called fairly down the middle the first 3 quarters. One thing is for sure....the athletic trainers on both sides are gonna have their hands full with all the injuries tonight. Bless them

The foul at the end of the Sweet 16 game was less controversial than the bowl game call. Also, I don't think some of UT fans realize how many times things like that have gone against Purdue - bad calls and crazy heartbreaks are more the norm for us (see Virginia stupid tap play in the Elite 8).

Not really a controversial call in this game, really. The Vols player should have been called for assisting the runner..the only reason it ‘might have been a TD’ was illegal assisting..still a penalty in NFL & college
