What in the name of Peyton Manning has happened to UT football? For a once proud program with a lot of tradition and a rabid fan base, they have been extremely mediocre since Fulmer left after 2008 season. In Fulmers 17 years they went 151-52 with 10 or more wins 8 times and winning record in 15 out of 17. Since then they have gone 62-65 and only 5 winning records out of 11 seasons.
I remember the rumors of Brohm to Tennessee a couple years ago and I admit was worried he may go. I think it says a lot about what he thinks about Purdue to turn down a place like Tennessee ( Urban Meyer says it’s a top ten job) with that huge stadium and fan base and tradition. Especially turning down Louisville to stay. I know the season is starting a little rocky and some people were dogging on Brohm and stuff which is foolish, but we have an excellent coach that’s in demand and is turning Purdue into a winner. Heck, maybe Tennessee is turning into post Tiller Purdue.
P.S. I’m ready to beat the tar out of them in hoops in Emerald Classic. Should have beaten them by 20 in Sweet 16

I know 2 players left the team the other day but they got a new coach so he needs some time to get his players. Chip Kelley is 0-2 now also.

I was thinking the same thing. Coach Knight and Fulmer were > than the actual ceiling of the program. Leads to dumpster fire of burning through coaches due to unrealistic expectations of fans. IU BB and Tenn would both be in better shape today if they would have stuck with Crean and Butch Jones IMO.

Agree about Vols fan base. I had a couple disturbing interactions with their so-called drunkass fans at Yum Center during Sweet16 last March.

On the other hand, I found Vandy fans yesterday to be well behaved, well mannered and complimentary about PU and the campus. I talked to few at halftime in SEZ area. Spoke to family mebers of kicker Riley Guay just after he nailed a 48yd field goal before half. Nice folks from Naperville, IL

Vandy is likely the only SEC school that requires athletes to attend class on a regular basis and, well, class tells.
