ok. he was a walk on Purdue. he was on the team for 2 years. he has two years left. he then tweets he's not only going to Western Michigan, but he's going to join the coach and his staff. To me, that sounds like he's going to play football at Western Michigan.
and you're telling me a walk-on at Purdue can't just leave and accept a scholarship to play at Western Michigan because it violates some NCAA rule? Purdue wasn't paying him.
Well how about this scenario? Purdue gave him a scholarship, and then allowed him to transfer to western Michigan and they gave him a scholarship as part of transferring. That's done all the time , but doesn't violate any rule. But a walk-on can't just transfer and accept a scholarship from the other team?
so he has to walk on to Western Michigan, enroll, and maybe they have a scholarship left and they give it to him after he walks on. that's legal?
So technically, he could walk on to Western Michigan and enroll in classes this Spring which is what he is doing. and after being enrolled at Western Michigan for this Spring, they could legally offer his a scholarship for the fall? and that's legal, but a lot of red tape loops
