We should know more tomorrow...anyone know how Taylor is coming along with his injury?
What good does it do to keep saying "we will know tomorrow"?
Anybody else concerned we may have a big man with a world of potential that is cursed with big man foot/leg problems that really never go away?

I hope he is still able to go to class, study, pass the tests and earn his degree. Great if he can play basketball, too. But if he becomes a solid citizen with a successful life, I am happy for him.
It should be a concern. I did get a couple of moments to talk with him a couple of weeks ago at a breakfast gathering. I asked if it was the same foot and he acknowledged it, but added that he would be okay. I believe he "rolled" it where before I think it was stress fractures...but then again...I'm getting older and my mind is not much better than 85% of the population. Maybe it was 85...I can't remember?Anybody else concerned we may have a big man with a world of potential that is cursed with big man foot/leg problems that really never go away?
Purdue needs both, but having at least one is huge compared to today...Yes, because this is why recruited him and gave him a full-ride scholarship, so he can go to class, study and earn a degree. And yes, I am happy for him too. On the other hand, I don't think we Purdue fan will be too happy for ourselves the first game that both Haas and Swanigan are in big foul trouble and Basil can only cover one of those positions. Because, believe me, that is going to happen a few times this season. But now that I see the big picture, what's really important in life, I will be happy to see Taylor over on the sidelines in his boot studying for his degree.
I love how you rose-colored glasses guys make statements like this to imply that you are morally above us realists. If this is the case, why do we even have basketball scholarship? Let's just give them to students who will "go to class, study, pass the tests and earn (a) degree."
LOL. Somehow, most of us will survive this horrific tragedy that you know for a fact is coming.I don't think we Purdue fan will be too happy for ourselves the first game that both Haas and Swanigan are in big foul trouble and Basil can only cover one of those positions. "Realist" must be defined as someone who bitches about worst-case scenarios that they invented, that have no real importance in their lives, and that they have absolutely no control over.
And you're saying it's all because Taylor didn't play? lol. Good prediction."Worst-case scenarios that they invented" -- Good point; my fear of Purdue's lack of depth inside has no basis in reality at all.
By the way, how did that scrimmage against West Virginia go?
And you're saying it's all because Taylor didn't play? lol. Good prediction.
Boiler Andy is a troll. Please disregard.
I may be wrong, but I'm guessing you meant vilehoopster? Otherwise you're telling boiler andy to ignore boiler andy? Not trying to be a literature queen, but I'm being a literature queen...
Well, there is more to life than basketball. And in the grand scheme his degree is probably more important.Yes, because this is why recruited him and gave him a full-ride scholarship, so he can go to class, study and earn a degree.
