The football program hasn't exactly earned themselves the benefit of the doubt the past few seasons. I'm trying to give them a clean slate to start the season but I must admit there was a period of time in the second quarter where I thought Shoop was still calling plays and the defense couldn't get off the field against an FCS offense and the sins of the past seemed all too recent.
