My youngest brother-in-law has lived and worked in Taiwan for several years. He was just discharged from the hospital after surgery to remove a cancerous kidney and was found to have lung cancer. I hope he gets the hell out and back to his house on the Tippy before it all goes to Hell.

One China policy isn’t the issue. The issue is China ceded Taiwan to Japan in 1895. China gave up any claim on Taiwan. Nixon, in his zeal to open China allowed the rhetoric. That was a big mistake.
