biggie had a 3 foot shot to win the game. not sure how that is on painter
Up 9 at half, they come out switch defenses, play inspired, and win the game. We come out do the same thing and lose. You think running around all those screens on defense might effect our legs in the second half. What if we switch to a zone in those situations? Thats coaching.

Never should have come down to that though...and that it did was largely due to Painter.

No way it is all on Painter that Purdue lost, but to not think that he was outcoached is equally wrong.

Purdue deserved to lose though...they were totally outplayed in second half, and the game was really lost in the first half when Purdue should have had a much bigger lead, but if not then, then certainly in the first five minutes of the second half when they gave away a nice 9-point lead.

Defense was brutal...individually, and collectively;..and it was the exact same issues that they have had for years...Iowa had one guy that could beat Purdue, just as Minnesota did, and in both cases, those guys carried their team to victory...Purdue has nobody that can do that, and just as important, they do not have anybody capable of stopping the other guys on the opposing teams from doing so too often.

Yes, Biggie should have hit the shot that he had...but, it never should have come down to that, and, Biggie is the least of Purdue's problems. They played through him in the first half and built a 9-point lead (that should have been more as I already said)...they did not do that in the second half, settling instead for 3-point shot after 3-point shot after 3-point shot, and that was what did them in.

Yeah right please if you can't come after a win as well as a loss then get lost pillock.
I love when we win, but we don't get any better throughout the year because we never do anything differemt and it shows in games like this. Frustration boils over when we lose. Do you disagree with my assessment?

You only speak when they lose and you act as beating a top 15 team wasn't an accomplishment. You will never be satisfied
We can go undefeated and win the national championship and there will still be complainers and bench coaches on this forum.

I was very happy when we beat Wisconsin, but all that progress gets wiped out by a loss like yesterdays. Purdue played the exact same style they did during the first game, Iowa altered their game plan and flipped the score by 27 points. My frustration is that Painter never changes things up so by the end of the season Purdue is too predictable and more easily beaten.

The game isn't about tricking your way to a win. Successful teams do what they do and do it well.
We killed Iowa the first game. Why in the hell would we try to do something different the second time around? Are we suppose to guess what they are going to change and prepare for that?
The staff watches hours and hours of film. If Iowa ran those zones at any point this year then Painter practiced for it. If they pulled out something new then kudos to them.
