i hate it. It is awful.

They should play with two balls so guys can get more shots up.

Why do people watch this? Why am I watching this?

Even though they lost, AJ had the second best +/- (but best of the starters).

Other item of note: Sandi Marcius was a DNP on the Bulls.

After playing 6 games in 7 days (I know that's not easy), one can definitely tell that AJH needs to improve his conditioning, explosiveness, and ball security when getting it in the paint. He's doing most things fundamentally well (other than when he has to guard one-on-one out on the perimeter). He's solid but he hasn't been a "stand-out" thus far. Other than some reaching fouls (officials called some phantom fouls on him as well for the duration of Vegas Summer League so far) due to fatigue, he understands where to be better than most of the guys on his team. He's showing that he can make NBA rosters but he certainly has room for improvement.

Edit: I saw that they have another game tonight/Friday at 10 PM vs. the Warriors, so they're not done yet. It must be a double-elimination format.

I believe it's a loser's bracket side game, playing for the 9th-16th spots, or just extra game. Not a double elim thing

Yes, it's a consolation game and it's the Mavs final game in the Las Vegas Summer League. It will be the 7th game in 8 days for Hammons and this version of the Mavs. Let's go, Hambone!

That's a double-double average per 40 min
I expect that the Mavs are happy with those numbers. Unfortunately he wouldn't have played 40 minutes because he would have fouled out. AJ's biggest adjustment will come in getting used to the speed of the game. But every rookie has to deal with that. He'll get there.
