Strength Coach Duane Carlisle left the program.

This is not a bad thing. We've been soft since he's been here.

Good that somebody has noticed.

Shows me that the AD is more dialed in than we thought.

Maybe, but what kind of ingredients was Duane trying to make into chicken salad?

This may just mean that the AD is formally letting everyone who isn't a recruiting position coach go, effective immediately. Recruiters have to stay on until the new coach replaces them.

It sounded like it was his decision and may be to watch his son play hoops out West. He was a Hope Era holdover. Think he reported directly to AD. Director of Sports Performance

Something else to be thankful for this weekend. Not sure why this guy kept getting a pass. OL so damn weak we had zero run game and defenders constantly being knocked on their ass after contact.

Amen plus when he came here from Cal he had a top HS recruit son who played at least one year at USC I believe. The son transferred to ND so he could be close to the family and they could watch him play. I never could reconcile how this guy got a top salary from MB and thought so little of his employer's f-ball program to send him to ND. For those who scoff at this idea keep in mind the many examples, mostly in b-ball but some in f-ball where the parent/guardian or AAU coach of a top recruit has been hired in the athletic dept where the recruit signed. Hope the door doesn't hit him on the way out.
