Never ever would have predicted that I would write "Purdue in first" at any point this season ...

Any analysis as to why this team has turned it around amidst having a very short bench, and not much depth? What has changed this season? If this was the Men's team we would be analyzing this to death. There would be whole long blog entries by GBI on why this team is #1 in the Big Ten and one of the biggest surprises in Women's College BB? But on GBI? It's *crickets*. This may the best coaching job of SRV's career? Do I get an amen? Or any commentary at all about this?

This team does little things better than the last few teams. Defense, passing, turnover reduction, boxing out, no dominant stars with egos. The little things added together make the difference.

I think people are just holding out to make sure things don't take a turn south here just because the turnaround seems so improbable. Our key contributors are almost all players that played last year with the exception being the recent emergence of McBryde. I don't think it was until we went in and handled Northwestern that I really considered the notion that we might actually be a legit top 25 type team.
