Senior day used to be a sacred tradition at IU.

Now it's a biennial event.

Re: Senior day used to be a sacred tradition at IU.

Robinson has been at IU for two years. Doesn;t that mean that he is about ready to graduate?

do the players who transfer , ever state why they are transferring? Does anyone know any of these players or someone close to them , to find out what is really going on? I would think a few would come out and be honest if forced out , which it seems like is happening, just would be interesting to talk to one of the players.

Funny, in his last interview, around the NCAA game, he expressed a desire to come back next year WITH THIS IU TEAM. Funny that IU is still 2 over the limit and still recruiting.

Actually it is not "funny" at all. It is a minor tragedy what Crean does to the kids he brings in for cannon fodder. Pure garbage.

Didn't Roth tell a lot on him being forced out or am I remembering that wrong? something about he got an email that his scholly was gone or something?

I was interested to hear IU fans' thoughts on the transfer and "Creaning" in general. The "Oh no! IU once again becomes the only program..." thread on Peegs is an interesting read. Most seem to recognize that this is a Crean thing and not the norm. One poster in particular mentioned that yes, many schools have transfers, but then those schools often have to replace with a late JUCO transfer or award a walk-on with a scholarship. For IU, they need transfers in order to bring in their incoming class.

I joke often about wanting Crean to sign an extension, but honestly, this rivalry won't be competitive for awhile as long as he's there. So for the sake of both teams having success and exciting rivalry games, I hope he'll be fired soon.

Actually, I think that it is fine if IU is not competive with Purdue. That will drive their fanbase even more over the edge. Plus, a suffering IU program is a benefit for Purdue. I believe that Napoleon once said that one should never interfere with the enemy when he is in the position of making a mistake.

They are ready to eat Crean alive because Creaning puts their school in a negative light. It's really no different than it has been the last 5 years but now since they hate Crean it is unacceptable. Before you heard that it was the kid's fault for failing the class or that it was "a privilege to play for Iu" so those who weren't at the top of their game weren't worthy. But yeah pull an article written about Capobianco and compare it to the Robinson article. Similar situation but Robinson was "Creaned". Hell Robinson was a top 50 recruit!!.

It's worse this year because many thought Blackmon was a one and done. At least that was the plan. I also don't think most thought April and Priller were more than practice players who might develop but were prime from the Creaning action. I still wonder if Robinson didn't make this decision based on the fact that his natural position, 2 guard, was stocked and Crean is bringing in more recruits who can play positions that Stan would play. Best of luck to the kid.

So, uh, a couple of more guys are getting Creaned? Yogi and Blackmon aren't going to pay their way for the love of the program?

What? It is always better when a rival's coach is easy to dislike. Crean really fits the mold. Hope he stays forever.

Sorry Woggy...I actually enjoy your posts but I will be honest I am sick of hearing about IU here.

My bad though to call you out...you actually post good stuff.

Just wish it was just Purdue related instead of them sometimes..........

Be well.

Here are the simple facts about Creaning and IU fans:

1. Crean has Zeller, Watford and Olidapo and is nationally ranked - Creaning is OK or does not exist because IU fans like Crean and make excuses like "...he wasn't forced out. He went somewhere else on his own volition to play more."

2. Crean has a mediocre team, e.g. this year or last year - Creaning is terrible and unfair. We never, ever liked it. Even the IU Star has given up looking the other way,

IU fans view of Creaning is directly proportional to the on-court results.

Here's the simplest fact about Crean. Take away D Wade and Zeller and nobody would know who Crean is.

Are not MH's parents alums of IU? Or was that someone else from CA that they were recruiting? I remember soemthing like that I believe. Perhaps I am in error.

If they were alums, that really sends a bad signal imo.

You ARE in error. TJ Leaf may be who you were thinking of. His parents were not alums but they were from Indiana and his dad grew up an IU fan.

I heard

Prill and August are about to get Cs in some freshman remedial class. That would not bode well for them, especially with Cream still on the recruiting trail.
