After cross-referencing the Purdue sports 2022 football roster and assuming all other HS guys come, there are 90 scholarship players.
- So between now summer, the number will have to get to 85.
- Here's the breakdown and some guesses.

Fakasiieiki (2016-Med RS), Burton, Washington, O'Connell, Douglas, Hampton are all 2017 recruits, so they are in their 6th or more year of eligibility.

Likewise, there are three others that have used 4 years of eligibility already and are playing their 5th.

2020 - Played in 3 games. They only played 4 games that season.
2021 - Played in 4 games. Torn patella injury?
2022 - RS Senior year.

Purdue football is still at 90 scholarship players after this addition due to losing Jaelin Alstott-VanDeVanter. 85 is still the max.

I have a spreadsheet and have only 14 DL and 10 LB. At DL I have the 4 freshmen plus
Jenkins, Sullivan, Johnson, Deen, Kpaka, Cox, Anderson, Lewis, Hudgens, and Boyd. Who else do you have?
At LB I have the 2 freshmen plus
Graham, Douglas, Semisi, Washington, brothers, Wahlberg, Kreul, and Yanni.
Who else do you have?
Also I think Liston is a blue shirt or green shirt? Not sure how that helps on the 85.

I struggle a bit with the LEO position, but what I have:
- You're missing Sydnor, DJ Washington, Humpich
- Linebackers are the same, I just had Cox in the LB group instead of DL group.

As for Liston, as far as my understanding goes, he counts towards the 85 for the fall, but not the 2022 class 25 limit with transfers. (which has now been adjusted).

Anybody know the story on Eric Miller? See the last paragraph of the Daniel Johnson interview.

At the least, Johnson will provide needed veteran depth to a still developing offensive line. At the best, he could earn a starting tackle spot for a line that lost right guard Tyler Witt and left tackle Eric Miller.

Ok so how does that get worked out.. I can’t think of four guys where I KNOW of reasons why they can’t contribute in the future (I’m sure there’s behind the scenes stuff). If I think of four guys who maybe would be waived in a pro sports scenario I have a hard time coming up with names.

On your original March list you had 7 TEs. There were only 6. Bilodeau left. So fall we will already only have 6

Hope we don’t lose an OL the returning players all seem pretty valuable. Same as WR and RB. I only count 43 offense including Liston.

We seem pretty rich on defense.

It'll all shake out in the next two months, and Purdue is over 85, so there's a couple guys that are going to leave, that's the main point.

Unsure where the numbers are different, my guess is a transfer. I know it's been reported, but waiting on Liston to officially grayshirt.

Last year we had two guys enter the transfer portal in the summer. But if we really have to lose 4, and as nat notes will be some creaning I would expect it would be on defense. We don’t have enough on OL to fill two deeps with returning players, we won’t dump a QB or RB, and with all the injured WRs and TEs, depth will be important. We just seem a bit heavy at DL and DB. And at DL we have a couple freshmen and a transfer I expect to crack the two deep so you look at the 11 or so returning players and wonder how many you really need to keep. At DB we have a couple impact transfers and some key returners but I also see some forgettable names.
