Lets give it up for Spencer Evans coming through in the clutch. I know a lot of us have been disappointed in the kicking game and rightfully so. I mean when he kicks a FG I usually leave the room. Clutch kick no matter how short it was. Heck, I would have been OK with the Travis Dorsch double birds.

Even though it was the right way to play based on the spot on the field, I really didn't want it to come down to a FG. I had very little confidence. Glad he proved me wrong!!

Thought DJ made a mistake on third down bouncing it to the outside, setting up a tough angle. Had me nervous. Evans even mentioned that was not his preferred side. Nailed it right down the middle anyway. Well done.

DJ made me very nervous when he jumped up in the air and took a hard-hit, it reminded me of way back when ESPN Game Day was here and Kyle Orton dove for the first down and the ball popped loose. We had that one in the bag and fumbled it away, I was so nervous when DJ jumped in the air. I couldn’t breathe when Spencer went out to kick the field goal. Way to go Kid!

Aside from a couple mistakes, IMO Evans has been a blessing for us since he's arrived.

Aside from a couple mistakes, IMO Evans has been a blessing for us since he's arrived.

I'm not saying it's all on him but we have missed a few XPs and several FGs which came at crucial points in games that we lost. There are other people involved from snapping, blocking, holding. He has been outstanding on kickoffs and I like the kid and his swagger but for some reason it's been a little rough this year on the place kicking. I'm just happy he came through yesterday and think it could be a confidence booster moving forward
