Wasn't Hope's staff one of the only in the country with a direct coach for STs? It seems this staff either doesn't work on it or doesn't really know how to improve our guys. Griggs has completely fallen off as a kicker under Hazel. Getting worse each season. Wasn't this a player who as a freshman drilled a 47 yard FG as time expired on the road to beat Iowa? Our KR game has went to the dump too.

don't know if you can blame a kicker's troubles on the HC.
Well on the first fg miss they had first and goal at the five i believe and pulled the now patented Shoop "Run the ball up the middle three times in a row" - when you needed a TD there.
Griggs still needs to make it - but it shouldn't have been an issue. In a no D game, you need all the points you can get.
