Something is going on with Sindelar

I believe that he already had a redshirt year. He could seek another year based upon injury but that is not guaranteed.

The problem with that is the recruited QB pipeline.

I still thought I saw something on Sindelar not being available for this game. Don't remember where. And why not bring Plummer in for some experience? He can still redshirt.

It was clear early on that it wasn’t Blough’s day...I hate Qb controversy and in my mind there isn’t one...but for whatever reason Blough should’ve been pulled in the second quarter....
The fact that he is not in the game at this point tells me something is really up.
Watched him warm up at the Iowa game, arm was great. I would move on if I were him. Got 3 QB's and Sipe played today. He has nothing to be ashamed of, led us to bowl victory last year. Did nothing wrong this year. I heard he voiced his opinion and coach did not approve. Heard it was hush hush.

I have no info and it’s pure opinion. But I have a sneaking suspicion he will grad transfer.

He is getting an engineering degree. Why go somewhere else to get a masters for engineering especially when the starting spot is his to lose on a team that will be loaded with great receivers and throws the ball as much as we do? If he does there must be more to the story.

Right. It’s his job to lose next year with a whole new set of weapons. No reason to transfer unless there’s something going on behind the scenes.

Y'all are making too much of this.

This is Blough's team. This year.

The QB controversy hurt us last year.

Our problems today weren't something to be solved by Sindelar. Not in the least. Brohm was correct in staying with Blough. We had an attitude problem today.

If Sindelar wants a chance to be a star, next year is it. If not, he can move on and we have an incredible stable of QBs. Either way, it's not a good reflection to knee-jerk during a game to pull the starting QB, when the entire team is a mess.

If you have info, out with it.

Otherwise, it was a QB competition, Blough won it this year, Sindelar is next in line, and that's it.

I really feel for Sindelar. As a senior in HS he had a ton of passing ability and decent mobility. His team was rolling to an undefeated state championship season until he blew his knee. He's never been quite the same since that night.

Attitude problem is exactly correct. If you look at Purdue’s games after a relatively big win, they struggle with how to prepare and play the next game most times. I will still put that on Hazel-esqe players given the amount that are still on the field. They didn’t know how to win and Brohm showed them how to do that...now they have to learn how to prepare and the mental side of what to do when you start to win. That is another overlooked aspect that can sometimes take some time when you’ve forgotten how to do so.

I disagree. The ball was clearly not coming out of Blough's hand well at all. Keeping him in during the second half was a mistake. He didn't make good decisions under pressure, and it was evident.

I thought the issue was more on our wide receivers. They were dropping balls, and half-assed running routes. Our line play was not good, both offense and defense. Blough did not have time to throw, and his receivers were not getting open. Combine that with Minnesota playing keep away and giving us very few chances with the ball, and you get this sort of blow out. Don't blame the QB for any of this.

has he?

Those are Brohm questions. If Sindelar was the answer, I'm guessing the guy running the show would have put him in.

But that's just wild-@ss speculation on my part.
Talking after we threw in the towel. Why Sipe. It’s a legit question. Would be interested in what Brohm has to say.

A question for the engineers and related to Sindelar. If you finish your engineering degree, is it better for your future to get a Masters in Engineering or an MBA?

I ask because if Sindelar wants to add an MBA, there would be many schools other than Purdue that would make a logical choice to be a grad transfer

An MBA would be better.

MS vs MBA will depend more on emwhat the young man wants to do. Stay technical then you'd be better off with an MS. Go into business or mgmt then an MBA would be beneficial. However, either could be obtained at Purdue or elsewhere.

I think an MBA is better. But I also think you should get a few years experience first before you get it.

From a transfer perspective I thought you could only transfer if the school had a degree option your original school didn’t have? Or has that changed now? If so, he couldn’t go to another school and get an MBA.

that was supposedly the rule, but I've seen many students transfer to Purdue and from Purdue and pursue a Masters degree their former school offered.

CJB did say in his presser that the receivers were not finishing their routes and even some wrong routes. He left DB in to see if he could ever get a rhythm going but he didn’t.

Am I the last one to hear about DB having such small hands? Small hands and cold weather. Not good. Let’s remember who QBd the cold month last year (Nov). Just sayin.

Did Brohm say something about his hands? I've speculated on that before. DB has always seemed to have a thin margin when it comes to the elements and having command of the football.
