He and his King James AAU team are playing in the SwishNDish tourney. Yesterday, he had 9 points and 4 assists in a 70-36 win over Full Package (interesting team name). He scored 7 early as King James jumped out to a 20-4 lead and never looked back.
Today, they are playing the Milwaukee Rebels. They were leading 44-22 at the half with Simpson having 8 points, 3 assists and 5 steals. Some comments:
@IllinoisRivals - 2016 PG Xavier Simpson is a tenacious defender. 5 steals first half
@NDKendrick - King James is throttling the Milwaukee Rebels but I love me some Xavier Simpson. Winner!
@ZachFleerLGHL - Xavier Simpson may not be the biggest, quickest, or most explosive guard, but damn is he productive. Averaging 6 assists and 6 steals this weekend.
