During the season, we learned that we needed to win the rebounding battle, have 10 or less turnovers per game, hit 40% from three and 70% at the FT line to increase our probability of winning. I took the time to compare how we did in these areas with Wins versus Losses. I didn't bother to look at rebounding, since I'd noticed that we did pretty consistently well in that area, during the season.

Item --- Win ----- Loss
Turnovers - 9.96/gm - 13.5/gm - We had at least 11 turnovers in every loss.
FTs - 71.6%/gm - 64.7%/gm
3 Pt - 41.7%/gm - 29.1%/gm
2 Pt - 50.9%/gm - 43.8%/gm

You don't have to be a genius to recognize that if we had consistently hit our goals/percentages in the areas noted, that we'd probably be the B1G Champs, have won the BTT and would have at least made the Elite 8.

To quote old Tampa Bay Buc's coach, John McKay, when asked about his players execution, he said, "I'm in favor of it." Unfortunately, execution was a significant problem this season and cost us achieving several goals.

Hopefully, we'll have fewer personal agendas that get in the way of team goals, next season.
