With JBJ coming back to IU, my guess is Yogi is gone for sure as rumor around the car wash is that JBJ would not play with Yogi again. IU adds Bryant and two three stars, Purdue adds a dead nut's shooter in Cline and I believe a 5th year or JUCO PG, and Michigan adds the big 4* German kid Wagner. MSU adds Swanigan, two four's, and a pretty good three, Groce brings in the 39th best player along with another four and two threes while OSU loses Russell but adds a five and three fours. The Terps bring in Big Dallas Stone and return just about everyone, and are favored to win the B10, while Wisky and the Count lost most of their scoring and rebounding and bring in one four....which means Bo has the league set up. So who did the best job recruiting this year, and who's the top three teams to beat in the league.

I say Izzo did one hell of a job, and still got beat out by Matta. IU, on paper, should crack the top six this year but will struggle if Yogi does indeed leave as they'll be extremely weak at the guard slots. The Illini could be the league sleeper, and Purdue should be battling for one of the top three spots if not for the title.

Who's your favorites to win it all this year.

I think with another point guard we should compete for the BIG. Of course our outside shooting must improve. Bringing in Cline should help but KS and DK have to step it up. Again we will be underrated.

Maryland and MSU are the two title contenders. I think IU, UM, PU and Wisky are in the next group followed by Illinois, Iowa and OSU. All of the three groups can finish in any order. Just ranking the teams the way I see them.

By the way, I think Yogi is back. The JBJ/Yogi comments have already been debunked and don't seem to hold any water (but doesn't mean Yogi won't leave). Extremely weak at the guard spots? Pretty sure most people would disagree with you there. Rob Johnson and Blackmon are pretty darn good.

Next year is crucial for Painter....needs to start fast, get ranked, and finish in top 2 in the league and use that momentum to capitalize in recruiting in 16/17.

It would be a shame for Hammons & Davis if their teammates let them down...I sure the team goal is the B1G championship.

I'll bite my tongue for saying this because Wisconsin always does better than on paper, but Wisconsin lost some real good players. I think people are being pretty generous on them (I've seen some have them ranked going into next year).

I totally agree that it may be a bit tougher on Wisky this year. You can't lose what they lost and not suffer, but there is a lot of talent coming back too. Never count the blood sucker out.

OP, MSU landed two 5* players, while Marta landed one. Unfortunately for us, Izzo did the best job recruiting this year.

Purdue will have a great team next year, the question mark is obviously our experience at PG. If Yogi stays IU could be top 5 in conf but if he leaves they're 6th or lower imo. Maryland and MSU will bee talented with Maryland far and away the team to beat. Illinois is Illinois, doesn't matter how much "talent" Groce brings in, they'll be in the mid to bottom half of the conf standings.

I like Maryland except for the fact the glue guy was Wells and he's gone. It will be interesting to see if Trimble takes the reins and becomes that guy.

Maryland will be interesting because Wells was definitely their glue guy. Trimble was a tremendous complement to him, both defensively and offensively. You saw when one or the other wasn't out there a big drop off at times.
