I'm planning to re-join JPC and get season tickets. This hire along with Mitch letting the athletic department keep the BTN revenue going forward has me back on board. Now I feel like the money they get from me will actually help the athletic department and not just be an avenue for them to take more BTN money to fund some new building. That's not to say that there aren't instances where I'd be happy to make a donation towards projects like that as well but it's important for people to know what their money is going towards.

Also, I may not be able to attend every home game but I'm happy to pony up for the tickets anyway. Just consider it an extra donation and if I have to eat a couple games a year as a result then so be it.

From the last year of Tiller to Hope and then to Hazell, I went from
1. Season ticket holder and JPC member to
2. Dropping JPC and my season tix and using my brothers season tickets for 3 or 4 games, to
3. My brother dropping his season tix and me going down to 2 games a year, to
4. Going down to 1 game a year, to
5. Not going at all this past season.

Next year I will start out the Brohm era with going to a pre conf game, and then maybe homecoming or the Bucket game. After that, I hope to reverse the path I went on from last year of Tiller to Hazell.

BTW, the JPC membership will be the last I re-up because, with all of the TV revenue coming in to the athletic department, and tuition being frozen, I have been giving exclusively to the Electrical Engineering school for the past several years. I feel like EE needs my money more than the athletic department. EE continues to slip in the rankings and is not where it once was. I hope my contributions will help.

It would be nearly impossible for coach Brohm to do as badly as Darrell did.I am already thinking seriously about going for season tickets next year.I had them in 2014 and 2015,then attended no games in 2016.

I'm renewing my JPC. I gave 'em an earful at this time last year 'cause they retained Hazell. Had they hired Spack or Olson today, I would have kept my money.

Spack is a good guy and may have been the right guy 4 or 8 years ago. But the Spack ship has sailed, in my mind. And hiring some journeyman NFL, unemployed assistant would have been the last straw.

I am curious, how many of you buying tickets are sitting in the $250 zone?

My friend, I'll take any tickets to a game you can't attend :)

Yes, happy days at Purdue once again.

I have had football tickets for six years and I only missed a handful of games due to weddings, work, or other major conflicts. I even quit a 6 figure job because (obviously among other things) I had to work every Saturday in the fall and winter and it interfered with my football/bball tickets.
Despite being a double season ticket holder (bball for 8 years) and giving JPC a pretty significant amount of money each year, I had to move UP three rows during the basketball re-seating. That didn't sit well with me. And for the record, yes I am aware of the JPC volleyball/women's bball points scam but I refuse to buy seats that I will knowingly leave empty.
I feel at this point I have done my part to not only financially support the AD, but also have my butt in a seat at every game regardless of the assumed outcome. 8 hour Saturday commitments need to give way to spending time with my two small kids. I will still be at every bball game and I may pick up a football ticket next year. But at this point I feel I have earned the right to say to the football program "prove it this time."

I have rejoined the JPC. If you live in Indiana, the $200 tax credit plus the federal tax deductions reduces the cost of joining to just a few bucks.

I upped my JPC number but will only attend one game next year. My problem is no one wants to with me. In Tiller years I had seasons tix and had to deny many who wanted to go. In 2015 my tickets went mostly unused unless I drove down to go alone. It will take some time for Purdue football tickets to become cool again.

My wife & I had season tix for decades. We live 3+ hours away and games take up the entire day plus at least 6 hours on the road. We dropped the tix right before the 1-11 2013 season. We're big Purdue fans but we have to see a good product or we're not going to waste our money, time and effort to go to games. We'll go to some games in 2017 but we have to see a good team before we get season tix again.

Oh you're like the guys I work with: everyone talking a big game about being man of the house, king of their castle, etc, etc.

Then you see them with their woman, and it's all "OK honey, sure thing sweetie, whatever you say sugar!" :)
You've been talking to my wife, I see.

The only guys I know who talk that talk AND walk that walk are single or on the fast track to becoming so.

I never dropped my JPC or tickets. Came very close to dropping tickets, but stuck it out. I'll be back next season, too.

Last couple years I've only gone to one game. Hopefully the product will make me want to dial it back up!

You're an idiot but we all already knew that.

No need to further self identify.

I will be happy to eat my words, but I think new coach is better than Hazel. I don't think he is better than Hope. M BOB hired a wait and see guy. I never left JPC, but went from All-American to first team. I did have season tickets from 2002 until Hope's last year then again for first 2 years of Hazel's career here. I have been burned enough to wait and see. Funny thing is, one of reasons I moved from AZ in 2011 was to attend more Football games. Silly me.
