That whole situation is just baffling to me. Purdue has good facilities, good tradition, and plays in the Big Ten. Yes, I could see him wanting to go to Cal for the weather, girls, or whatever, but if his inner circle was against Cal, what did Swanigan not like about Purdue so much to have get a "compromise" choice of MSU?
