If you watch the video above and just jump to the last 10 seconds of the video. Adrian W mentions that there is a big market for Etwaun Moore (among others) with the larger cap in the NBA this summer. He is saying Tyler Johnson at Miami might get a $10 million / year deal and from that I'm inferring that E'twuan might be in a position to land a similar deal. If so, congrats Smoooooge!!

E did it the hard way. late 2nd round draft pick to Boston, spent time in riding pine in Boston, got an an opportunity in Orlando in a backup role. Landed in Chicago and has been nothing but effective on the court. Plays within his role, but plays fearlessly (including a GW three against OKC). Great teammate. Getting to this point all on the uncertainty of short term deals.

I don't know him in real life, but have followed him since his early Purdue days and been a big fan of not only his play but how he carries himself. Steady. Always poised, never rattled no matter the situation. No matter the uncertainty of his immediate position or contract situation, his support or lack of support from an organization, he puts in the work behind the scenes to improve. So happy for his success because he absolutely deserves it. Respect.

does anyone publicly keep track of production per dollar on nba players? He's got to be a total steal at whatever he has been making.

As good a player as he is, and he is very good...tremendously underrated and long underappreciated...he is a far better person. I am fortunate enough to indeed know him in real life, and he is better off the court than he is on it...he formed a friendship during his time at Purdue with my son (who is now 10), and they remain close...an exceptional role model and a great representative of Purdue University...all class, hard worker, persistent, confident, and about to deservedly cash in somewhere...hoping that he remains in Chicago (although I have long suggested that he would be an ideal fit and player for the Pacers as someone else suggested...had he graduated from IU rather than Purdue, there would be more interest there no doubt unfortunately), but will be happy for him regardless of where he ends up and will continue to follow and support him as well.

Good stuff DC10! Thanks for sharing!!

4 years and $34 million with the New Orleans Pelicans...hard-earned and well-deserved, and not a bad place to play either.
Congrats to him!

This will also show recruits that you can go to Purdue and get big time money too. I know other programs like to use that as their recruiting tool.

ditto.....should be a solid contributor off the bench, just like in Chicago. EM had his best season last year.....nice timing.....also shows what hard work and being ready to play every night will do for you......even when you're not a starter or All-Star.

ET phone home.....

I love these types of stories. Thanks for sharing.

Very happy for EM. And to show how little I know, I thought he had the least chance of the Baby Boilers for a long career. Go get 'em Schmooge, keep proving me wrong.
