What mistakes has Blough made? We barely called any passing plays in the first half.

Blough didn't do anything wrong, but sometimes you need a spark to get things going.
Certainly didn't want to see Sindelar play because of an injury..I actually like Blough and think he is our best option right now.

Yeah. Sind and Sparks to the finish line...3 games. Wonder how Sind performs not looking over his shoulder to close out 2017? Might be a blessing, not that Id have wished an injury to DB, who by all accounts is just a great dude.

Neither QB is going to look good with the receivers we have. It is a mistake to blame everything on the QB. That is usually an easy and erroneous mistake. A college QB generally needs to throw at an open receiver. We just don't have the size and speed at the receiver position to consistently get open. When they do get open, our QB's (both for that matter) do reasonably well hitting them in stride.

There was a nice pitch and catch in the second half even with a no-call......maybe they'll finish strong, although Iowa City looks like an even tougher trip now.

I think we need to do more with Sparks so defenses can't settle in against Sindelar. Maybe some plays where both are in but Sparks lines up in shotgun and Sindelar splits out wide. Make the defense adjust to account for the QB running every so often.

Assuming Sindelar gets every start from here on out, I would think that he will play little looser (as in, not so uptight) knowing that he'll be granted a little more leeway.

We should all be glad that he got a good deal of playing time already so that we're not facing the rest of the season with a starter that hasn't seen the field.
