Well if he hustles he will be fine. He's plenty big enough in today's NBA and you don't need an outside game. Just need to hustle, grab boards and block shots.TJD will be a bench player in the NBA if he even gets drafted. Not big enough to play the post, has no outside game. Race has been the IU glue and with him out, IU will continue to lose. And it's on Woodson because of the lack of defense.
Not really...have you watched the NBA lately? If he is playing either at the 4 or 5, who is he going to be able to guard?Well if he hustles he will be fine. He's plenty big enough in today's NBA and you don't need an outside game. Just need to hustle, grab boards and block shots.
You're probably right but he does rebound well, seems to be a plus passer at times, and gets to the line a TON. Not sure how much the latter is due to the good old big ten "star" protection though (Melo Trimble just flopped his head back and got two FTs for sentimental feelys)He is 6’7” and not very quick without a five foot jumper and has a bad back. He will go undrafted
I've seen a lot worse players be drafted. Somebody will take a flyer on him simply because of his hype/name. I've seen a lot of other players drafted that had no business being drafted. I"m not saying he'll make the team. I'm just saying he'll be drafted. maybe he'll put together a string of games in the second half. maybe IU will help pad his stats. a lot of times if the team is going bad, the coach might try to showcase their star player more.Trayce is far from an NBA player. He will not get drafted. He has been a first rounder at the start of each season the last few years and falls out by the end of the year. IU is horrendous. I don't see them winning more than like 7 games in B1G season.
He would have been part of a consistently good team. He wouldn't be expected to be the number one/major focus from opponents also.I have to wonder what would have happened if Trayce came to Purdue. Would he have been an effective 4? If he came here, it's doubtful that Furst would have come here. Would TKR start over Gillis?
TJD aint sniffin the NBA. 6'9 Athletes who can dunk well aren't rare and provide zero benefit in the NBA. He might play overseas, but more likely he ends up selling insurance in Indy.TJD will be a bench player in the NBA if he even gets drafted. Not big enough to play the post, has no outside game. When we play them, TJD is going to get sick of having Edey's nuts on his face, he might wear a mask.TJD looked smaller than freshman Njie last night who is supposed to be 6’8”.
Bone, one never knows. 😤When we play them, TJD is going to get sick of having Edey's nuts on his face, he might wear a mask.
Today it's hard to pad stats Wo. Social media, internet, games on TV. The best thing that he could have done is develop range, and I don't think he's ever shot a 3.I've seen a lot worse players be drafted. I am afraid this is true. The IU boys still think he is a lottery pick, just behind Hood-Schefino. Not happening. Talent on this IU squad has been greatly overrated I think. Time will tell as we progress through the BIG schedule. He wasn’t projected to be drafted last year. He definitely won’t get drafted this year, since he’ll be turning 24 with a bad back and didn’t work on his jumper .

The clownpants are a terrible embarrassment, but some schools have to make up the bottom of the standings - just like we did during the haze years in cfb.poll
Fellas, fellas, fellas...
Purdue is 15-1, #3 nationally, and tied for 1st in the B1G. Purdue has the leading POY candidate and two freshman guards who have the look of 4-year starters and eventual all-conference players.
And the first three threads today are all about a program that Purdue has beaten 18 of the last 24 meetings?

Not really talking about literal height, more about athleticism. Who can he lock down on D against any of those guys? Embiid would drop 50 on him, easy.Starting centers from last night's NBA games...
Joel Embiid: 7-0
Mason Plumler: 7-0
Jusuf Nurkic: 7-0
Nic Clayton: 6-11
Brook Lopez: 6-11
Thomas Bryant: 6-10
Jarrett Allen: 6-9
Robert Williams: 6-9
Bam Adebayo: 6-9
Christian Wood: 6-9
Jaylin Williams: 6-9
Pascal Siakim: 6-8
Trayce Jackson-Davis: 6-9
Who the hell can't Embiid drop 50 on? Point is, he's not undersized by any means and he's a great leaper. Just has to find the motor like Robert Williams did.Not really talking about literal height. Who can he lock down on D against any of those guys? Embiid would drop 50 on him, easy.
Lol lets just keep waiting for him to find his motor. Especially at the next level.Who the hell can't Embiid drop 50 on? Point is, he's not undersized by any means and he's a great leaper. Just has to find the motor like Robert Williams did.

People wondered the same about Robert Williams coming out of Texas A&M.Lol lets just keep waiting for him to find his motor. Especially at the next level.

Athletically he's somewhere in the middle of the two.Interesting comparison. Thristian Thompson ad Robert Williams are both 6'9 centers with strenght, athletic ability at 6'9 and outside game, so it is possible, i just dont think TJD is as quick as those guys, NBA is just so elite.
