A few things:

1) I think the shorter rotation is something this team needed; it's unfortunate that the catalyst for this seemed to be the Stephens issue, dilemma, whatever you want to call it

2) I love RD, and he is a Boiler through and through, but I don't see why Stephens couldn't take a few of his minutes...does RD really need close to 30 minutes every game, especially when he is not clicking offensively, and especially when his defense wasn't doing much to slow his man (Shields) down?

3) I still believe in Kendall, and I hope he comes back next year and is a big contributor

I don't think we need to be searching for reasons to play Stephens. He'll have opportunities eventually and he needs to make sure he's ready to take advantage of them when they come.
If you noticed last night, the walk-ons got in the game at the end but no Kendall.

Bigohh,

I noticed that too. But I think it was because the walk ons were Seniors, so they do not have much chance left to play.

There could be a plethora of reasons as to why KS isn't playing. For one he would have to take someone else's minutes and i have no idea who's he would take.

Also we might be over analyzing it aseems we tend to do on here. Maybe he is still dealing with his loss and thus not practicing as hard as he normally does and is content for now to just be around the team to get through it.

I have no idea and am just speculating, but as others have said he will have his opportunitestate for sure in the future.

Stephens should have his gun loaded, cocked and ready. He will be called on at some point in the NCAAT or BTT. He has to deliver when that time arrives.

davis and the point guards are a liability on offense. let davis mathias stephens or cline play the point and have two of those four on the court at all times

I like when Mathias and Cline play together, but I think that it would be a mistake to sit both Thompson and Hill. Both guys understand the offense well and give the Boilers what they need within the system.

I can't agree more....when DM and RL are in at the same time we have potential for some real offensive firepower. It may hurt us a bit on defense, but as long as AJ isn't in foul trouble he should be able to patrol the paint. I liked the line up last night of AJ, JH, Biggie, RC and DM.

Yeah, I think Hill should be out there with Cline and Mathias as much as possible.

Hill, although he struggles to shoot, offers so much more than PJ does when you pair him with Cline and Mathias.

The lineup with Cline and Mathias worked well with our double post of Biggie and AJ. That skip pass to Cline from Mathias that came from AJ in the post was nice. If Ray and Vince can hit some shots spread out like that possession was? We are in for a huge March and possibly April.
The team looks so much better when they reverse the ball before attacking.
