Shoop out at psu

I wouldn't say he's out.....that implies he got fired.

He took a 1.15MM a year offer to coach D at UT.

He is our illustrious, former OC John Shoop's brother.

Bob has always generally been better thought of as a coach. He was more running from how much of an ass clown and control freak Franklin was than him wanting to leave PSU.

So he's making almost double what Morgan "Moneyball" Burke paid our previous HC, who took us to 2 bowls games and finished his PU career by thumping IU.

He is an excellent coach. PSU was/is pis$ed to lose him.

This is why Mitch's nonsense about transfering excess BTN money to academics is a pipe dream! The SEC schools will use every dime of TV revenues to hire away the best coaches and the better B1G programs, like PSU, will have to use up all their BTN revenues to compete, so no "arms agreement" will ever be reached! Purdue, meanwhile, will employ the lowest paid coaches in FBS while spewing holier-than-thou nonsense about keeping things in perspective.

Congratulations on finding how to connect a Penn State assistant coach to Purdue's President's budgetary decisions. Well done.
