You guys should go after Schiano or Pelini. Schiano won big at Rutgers which is pretty much unbelievable and Pelini seems to win everywhere he goes. I'd go after Schiano with Pelini as my backup plan.

Schiano - yes. Pelini - no.

Don't want either one. Schiano couldn't recruit New Jersey at Rutgers - Purdue NEEDS a recruiter. If we are going for a retread: Miles or Briles
Flat out not true. Schiano recruited the NYC/NJ/Philly area very well. He often flew into HS football fields on a helicopter when the teams were practicing. Novel idea and a lot of those kids were impressed.

Also, Schiano is 50. Miles is 63.

Ray Rice, Kenny Britt, and the McCourtys were all big time recruits from the NJ/NY metro area.

I still think I'd rather have Row the Boat Guy over Chop the Wood Guy tho.

Then why didn't the bigger gigs snap him up when he was unemployed for two years after getting canned at Tampa Bay?

Here wore out his welcome with everyone, including ownership in Tampa. I don't foresee a seismic change in his demeanor, so I'll pass.

than he isnt going anywhere. bad power 5 teams did not even want him last year
Urban Meyer hired him off the street as DC and asst HC at Ohio State, arguably the top asst coaching job in college football. Just a hunch but I imagine Urban Meyer knows more about Schiano's coaching abilities than you do.

Pelinis entire scheme is to stop a spread attack. He refused to adjust his defense even when giving up 500 yards rushing to Wisconsin two different times. He is a nightmare for the media and an embarrassment on the sidelines for whatever university he coaches. Ill pray for you that they don't even consider that psycho.

I like the Greg Schiano idea. Purdue is in a similar position right now to what Rutgers was in the late 1990s, but IMHO, the ceiling is higher at Purdue.

Other than Schiano, though, I really hope Purdue stays away from OSU assistants. That path has led to epic failures the last two times Purdue tried it (Colletto, Haze). Nothing against OSU; it's just not a very good preparation for what is required to win at Purdue.

lol you dont even know what you are talking about. never said he was not a good coach or that he wouldnt be a good coach at purdue. another poster replied that he wouldnt take a job at purdue. said he was looking for a better job. i pointed out the the lower power 5 times did not want him last year. they will now but he is not getting a job at a elite school.

Would you please translate that from duplicitous Gibberish to standard English?

You guys do not want Bo. if any of your fellow Purdue fans say they want him, bitch slap them. He is barely qualified to coach at Youngstown. He would be a complete embarrassment to your school. You deserve better. GBR
