Senseless timeouts!

Michigan called two timeouts last night with 12 seconds to go when FSU was taking a knee. This still bothers me as when I coached basketball, coaches would call a timeout being down ten points with 11 seconds on the clock. I would have my kids throw them the ball on the inbounds play and see if they could score. Most times they didn't as it was a waste of time.
Does this senseless waste of time bother anyone else?

Yes! Yes! YES! I can see one to get some walkons on or something.. but multiple drive me nuts and I think it's kind of classless.

You never know. Teams can and have fumbled snaps in such a scenario.

That said he could have used his timeouts when FSU was getting ready to score to save more time for when Michigan got the ball back and that would've been far more useful.

have no problem w/ what he did it was a last ditch effort, w/ the B Ball analogy, yes that gets ridiculous. I did not like them opting to go or 2 when down 20 -15.

Yeah I thought Pagano snuck down there for a minute or something. Once FSU was in FG range you gotta save as much time as possible.

In hindsight, they might have been better off having allowed the KO return, at least from a time perspective and had it been known ahead of time that they would block the PAT.

FSU deserved to win the game for certain...outplayed UM from the outset.

It was just a case of Harbaugh being a hard a$$ (or just an a$$ for that matter)...a role that he plays well, and one that he almost seems to relish.

I didn't understand not using TO's on defense. You gotta assume FSU was going to at least tie the game. I'd rather have 1:30 + with no timeouts than 0:36 with three. Harbaugh had some clock/timing issues with the 49ers on occasion.

Old Urban may be a great coach but talent wins more often than not. BIG does not have enough of it.
