The democrats (in general), operate in fear. Americans just want to live their lives.
Okay but how could one be saying this? What would prompt one to pretend to know
I’m saying why have I seen him and bill gates both say this. The last pandemic before corona was in the 1910s… how would they know another one could be coming? But I’m more curious what people here think
I don’t trust anything anyone says based solely on who they are. I’m asking what reason they could have to say it.
I think it will happen late September early October and force absentee and mail in voting.
The above scenario worked pretty good for the Democrats this last election.
I think it's part of a voting strategy. The Dems are running out of ideas on how to hide the failures of this administration. With a 26% approval rating, they're starting to throw Hail Marys.
A couple things though …

They know they are losing. It's either bring back covid or they need a new pandemic to rig another election. Thing is I don't see people buying into this BS again. They brought out monkey pox as a test run.
And it will somehow magically happen right around November and we'll go in to another lockdown and making it harder for people to vote.
While I am in agreement with you here, I am still not lost on the GOP's ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Far too few of them. I’m a Leftie. I’m anti war, for single payer, for free college at local state schools (think governors state not Purdue, no frills) and for a living wage. Whether we agree to disagree or not, I find the Republican Party by far less repulsive than the Democratic Party.
think about what I want and think about how harsh lockdowns, online censorship and pronouns falls into that. It doesn’t lol.
most reasonable left minded people I talk to are either telling me they won’t be voting or that it’s time for working class people to see what they can do voting Republican.
the only people telling me any different are affluent suburban professionals who are fiscally conservative and social Justixe warriors. I’d imagine you’re talking about 10% of the populace and 20 some percent of the voting population…

Are you well-versed in pandemics as well as the experts who were involved in this last one? I don’t think you mention that answer to your own question if there wasn’t a seed of doubt in your mind in the experts failures we’ve seen.
If there is a second pandemic, we all hope that we find better “experts” than the “experts” that were around during Coronavirus. They didn’t do well but if social media has you defend them, you’ll probably defend them.
Again how would they know or say the same thing? Is it because they know these labs are conducting gain of function research that nobody asked for and nobody wants?

Make it make sense why you'd support the party that is completely hostile to everything you want. War, health care, education, income. Everything you say you hope for, republicans are in direct opposition.
The Democrats are completely hostile. Obama took us from bombing in two countries to seven.
health care? Obama care comes from the heritage foundation, a right wing think tank. “Access to health care doesn’t do anything for me.”
when you say education what does that mean? Democrats are not for free college. At all.
Both parties suck.. one of them, the Republicans, are not pretending to be my friend. The other one is pretending while doing nothing for working class people.

I want the power structure of the Democratic Party to change. That will only happen if they lose. When you lose power you ask what you have to do to get it back.
the loss of power to trump wasn’t decisive enough and it allowed them to blame Russia.. this time it will be so decisive they will actually have to be about the things they pay lip service to.

I believe in populist fiscal policy like the new deal that helps those who have JOBS move up through the classes.
take my grandfather. Purdue engineer who was able to use the GI bill to go to college all over the place for free after serving as a fighter pilot in England during WW2.. that’s the exact policy I want. Things that provide real help for those who do for themselves and others.
I don’t think either party would for the extent to which he was able to take advantage of that program. I believe he got an engineering 4 year degree at Iowa state then was able to go to Purdue, notre dame and Colorado to continue on.
im a new dealer.. new dealers are not welcome or really existent in the Democratic Party.
BUT another thing that’s gonna make me different from a standard Democrat is that I have no problem with someone who is very fiscally conservative being able to vote for someone who fights for their interests. That’s what democracy means to me..
I think the Dems believe their only chance to survive the mid-terms is a massive new pandemic so they can revive the wild illegal vote that occurred during the last election.
Look I’m no Slow Joe fan. The guy was a dim bulb BEFORE he got dementia. But my guess is he was trying to refer to a future pandemic, the next bird flu, swine flu, SARS whatever, etc. Not necessarily an immediate threat.

I'm a fiscally conservative/semi socially lib Repub. But to your point, just like when Trump asked the black caucus "What have you got to lose by voting for me", it's similar with the working class dem voter.
They're not saying the same thing. Some say it will be a form of influenza, some say more covid variants, some say it will be something that is unknown now. There are other theories.
Why are they saying so? That's their job.
