Not going to check records, but today's truly embarrassing performance very likely is the worst or, at least, one of the worst ever in Purdue's WBB Senior game annals. Feel terrible for the two seniors--Oden and Harris--who it looked like didn't show up any more than the rest of the team, which, by all observations has quit. Yes, they play MSU in the tourney and who knows as MSU isn't very good, but it will not matter as this team can't beat a rug with a stick.
It appears that Versyp has opened the door to her own demise with this final pathetic showing with no energy and a lifeless offense that stands around as much as it moves. The number of wide open layups OSU got, that Purdue turned into Maryland, showed that the team has thrown it in, losing in their final Mackey game by 21 to a team they beat handily on the road ( a 37 point turnaround) to start the BT season, barely getting over 50 pts in a final home court game that was supposed to mean something.
They might qualify for the NIT but it would be small consolation. It's not just that they lost, but it is how poorly they played. That's coaching folks. AD's move now or not.
