Title heading is incorrect. Meant to say Sean!!!

It appears Sean is in hot water and all indications are he breaks recruiting rules.

Now for the question: Who was Sean Miller's best man for his wedding? The answer might surprise you.

Yes; ALL indications are that Sean Miller is in boiling hot water.

Now for the part of your post that is intriguing: Who was the best man at Sean's wedding?!? The answer may be surprising?!? Does that mean it was not his only brother?!?

Was it:
  • World Wide Wes?
  • Book Richardson?
  • The ghost of Tom Crean?
  • GeneBobbyKeadyKnight as a single humanoid locked in an embrace?
  • Kato Kaelin?
TELL ME!!!!

Archie was an assistant, doing recruiting, under Sean for years along with Book. If I were an IU fan, I'd be scared of the feds looking into their new coach too. Jail time will get people to talk more than the fear of NCAA violations.

Okay. Isn't Ed (and UCLA) in bed with Under Armor, not Adidas?
Not that Under Armor or Nike are clean either (they're not), but that's not where the stuff seems to be hitting the fan.
I said it yesterday somewhere that if Adidas is doing this I would bet a bunch of money that the others were doing it as well. No way one would not have turned the other over if they were not all involved.

II know Eddie pretty well ... I was at his last wedding ... if he is dirty, I will be astonished ... really, he's a truly great guy ... but I am prejudiced.

As an IU fan, that allows me to exhale just a little bit...but now you'll be in trouble with the rest of the board ;)

If I'm in trouble for the friends I have had for thrity years ... so be it ... I've been friends with Eddie since he was at Western Boone HS. He helped my son get a D1 schollie. I worked with him in the BARN prepping college guys get drafted higher, I talked with him the day that Steve offered him the UCLA job.

Hell, I've spent as much time with Knight as I did Keady .... it's about the kids for me ... although there are five PU grads in my immediate family and I ALWAYS wish for PU to do well.

I lived through the days when I supported IU all the time other than when they played PU. I sat with Knight and discussed possible recuits as they played. He called me often to have my AAU group/team come play at Bloomington South against some players he was interested in. I had my guys do what he asked me to have them do.

Honestly, I hate IU supporters now ... they are just assholes toward me in several situaations. No need for them to be so narciccistic and obnoxious, but it is what I have experienced.

he did help send Octeus to Purdue didn't he?

agree with you, I am a bit prejudiced too. Ed came and spoke to a middle school basketball aged kids during a practice/camp at local school about 10 years ago. pretty sure he was working in NBA, or just had left NBA post, at that time. I was EXTREMELY impressed with him and his character at that time. That is why I have had a hard time believing he could be 'dirty'. I hope not. I just didnt understand why Painter didn't want him as asst coach as all indications are that was Ed's first choice. And working under Alford at UCLA (was adidas at the time) with the circus of recruiting out there...sheesh.

Final thing..I had posted this years ago....go find the book called "They played their hearts out". Chronicled recruitment of Demetrius Walker (around Lance Stephenson age). Fascinating read that foretells yesterdays FBI events.

Glad to have you on the good side now...even if it took you the better part of your life to fully make the conversion! ;)

There is NO correlation between Eddie and Tark .... but please read about Tarkanian. About the player who couldn;t use Tark's phone to call his Mom when his Mom was dying. Or how Tark's wife cooked dinner for the players on Sunday's when the cafeterias were closed. Tark recuited from the playgrounds of Watts and other super bad neighborhoods ... did he cheat? or did he help a few kids get out of the hell of Watts?

I was never an IU guy -- I am a purdue grad. My daughter and son-in-law were cheerleaders with Glenn ... my wife and two other sons are PU grads .... I was just available to Knight for a few years and he was good to me ...

Gotcha. I have a sister and brother in law that were cheerleaders in the late 90's and early 2000's. Small world!

Small world. HHS was a huge part of my life at one time ... but not so much at those times .....
If I stay in teaching for the rest of my life, I'll probably never leave unless I get an offer I can't refuse for an AD job or a big increase in teaching salary. The school environment here is just incredibly awesome. Really wish some of our society would come and take a peek at what can happen in education when you have the culture we have here with our faculty, our kids, and our parents. It isn't perfect but it should be a model for how public education can be a solution instead of the stupid school choice/charter schools that we have yet to see results that better than those of public schools. IMO, just another way to segregate society based on ability and economics rather than race.

I teach at the college level, my wife is a SpecEd coordinator, our daugter is a counselor at a HS with 4k students (not a mistype) who has all the athletes as her kids, another daughter is a pre-K specialist for a large school corp. HHS graduated 7 of my kids. Dave and VanArsdel and JG were parts of my life for 20 years. I have super mixed feelings. but that's fine. I'm super proud that you are there and that you are influencing young people's lives. I honestly don't care what school you are at ... just keep on keepin' on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this might sound really ignorant, but who is Sean miller, and why should we care? I've heard of Alford, Izzo, ZO, lute olson, pitino, Calipari, Weber and Stallings, but I really don't have the desire or time to know and follow all of the NCAA coaches. I know IU's coach is named archie, but I haven't a clue what his last name is. The butler coach wore a bow tie and is now the Celtics coach - I forgot his name. I don't even know who ND's coach is. Kelly is the ND football coach, right? And I only know the names of three women's coaches.

is that a bad thing? This sounds a lot like TMI basketball coach knowledge overload.

Sean is Archie's brother who is the HC at Arizona. Has led them to some success but arguably under achieves with the talent level he is able to grab there.

ooooooh, they were one of the teams involved recruiting bowen.

Not sure if they were in on Bowen, but yeah, Sean Miller used to coach at Xavier. Book Richardson is the one arrested at Arizona. He has been an assistant to Sean to 11 years. Archie was also an assistant for his brother and worked with Book, also recruiting. So even though IU might not be linked to anything bad right now, their brand new coach might be investigated. That said, Johnson at UofL is getting into trouble, was part of the Bowen recruitment, and was at IU just two years ago. If I were an IU fan, I would be sweating.

I thought having tryouts like you describe has been against the rules for years. ?
