can you imagine being a player on that team or a prospective recruit and knowing that your head coach was actively plotting behind the ADs back to weasel out of a marquee game presumably because he was too embarrassed to run out onto the field with you ... he was actively conspiring to deny his players the chance to shine on a huge national stage against OU

and then to cowardly let the AD go out there to take your bullets is nothing short of disgraceful

I am assuming Nebraska is finally going to wake up after this year and let Frost go.
Not likely...still a lovefest for no known reason.

He has been awful there, and, somehow remains a cult hero of sorts, and, a media darling as well seemingly.

Another program completely out of touch with reality.

Imho, a lot of Husker Nation has begun to lose faith. Not only is the record sinking in, but the loss of their best player (probably overall best, but certainly their top offensive player) Wandale Robinson leaving the program has caused a lot of concern.

This is the thing. You can't really jettison Frost unless you have some viable replacements. Nebraska's penchant for always thinking it is too good for its coach is what led to firing guys with good records like Solich and Pelini.
THIS

Firing Solich was a HUUUUUUUUUGE mistake.

Dude was 58-19 at Nebraska. Think they'd take that record today??
