Shout out to my new buddy, Trevor!

Let's do the easy stuff first. Rumors are the instead of alternating FG's and PAT's, JD might redshirt. Near the end of practice, they lined up for 35, 40, 45 and 50 yard FG's. Spencer and JD matched shot for shot, like they were playing horse. Of course, indoors there's no wind (especially when coach is not yelling).

The usual suspects on O - 7 8 9 11 18 20 33 40 50 53 60 79 81 84.

David really looks fast at field level, Sipe running with 2's and Plummer with the 3's. They seem the same to me, although Nick gets a few better targets than Jack.

Catlett had a couple of great snags, but an unbelievable one with great coverage down the left sidelines. Zico and Wright both made some nice catches too. Jackson was his usual spiderman-self, snagging anything thrown in his zip code (still can't believe that NOBODY recruited him, not even the Trines of the world!).

Defense (harder to track, cause there's so many player subs) 1 5 21 27 29 38 44 55 92 94 98

Markus had a really nice interception (depends on your perspective on this) in the left seam.

One of the unmentioned LB's had a really cheap shot with his hand to the helmet of a receiver. Nothing was mentioned at practice, but I'm sure it's on tape from 3 different angles. I'd be surprised if there's not some discipline for that stupid outburst.

Reviere looks like he'll be in the saddle for his R-Fr year at DE. He looks big and fast (for 270 lbs).

Daniels looks big and strong for his R-Fr year at DT.

At the beginning of practice, there were about 20 spectators there when I went to the south end of the field to talk to one of the parents. When I returned to mid-field there were about 250 more people! What's going on!? Apparently there were about 60 recruits, their parents and coaches. 20 of the recruits are supposedly in the crosshairs of the staff. There were some BIG boys there and some guys that looked like they were quite mature. We chatted with several of them. Some from Indy, Westfield, Seymor, Ben Davis, Joliet Catholic, Muncie Central and so on. The ones we talked with were impressed with the practice facilities, the new weight room and the overall program.

Bunch of stuff I've missed (Trevor doesn't post, so that's it from me).

Keep those donations rolling in!

Who is Jackson?

Thanks. It would be great if he really broke out this next year.

I know Amad enrolled early to try to see the field as a freshman. There is not much discussion of him this Spring. Is he just not seeing the scrimmage field much right now? I realize it is hard to get on the field as a freshman (Moore is going to be an exception to this rule. I have seen him play in person, and he is the real deal. He is going to make Purdue exciting with him on the field.) I am wondering if he is overwhelmed by the playbook or others are just that much ahead of him at the present time.

Injury in practice on Wednesday. Agree with your assessment that he is the real deal based on practices prior to Wednesday. Competition at the WR and Slot Receiver positions is fierce with Terry Wright, Isaac Zico, Amad Anderson, Tyler Hamilton, KeyRon Catlett, Benaiah Franklin, and Jackson Anthrop all doing well in practices. KeyRon was spectacular today. Jared Sparks and Jarrett Burgess are not participating because of injuries, and several talented true Freshman not enrolled yet, like Jordan Bonner, Rondale Moore, and Kory Taylor. Jamarcus Shephard has to be pleased with the competition for playing time!
