Reminds me of DM as a recruit. Like his humble demeanor.
I don't think any numbers are retired -- as BoilerMaker P notes, the banners honor specific players but do not constitute retired numbers. For instance, Troy Lewis has a banner but Jacquil Taylor wears his old number, 23.Reminds me of DM as a recruit. Like his humble demeanor.
Question: Is the number #33 retired? I have mixed memories on whether Purdue retires number and which ones are.

They retire 'jerseys' not numbers. Jerseys in the rafters currently are: (Hummel is up there as well I believe). Add in Biggie and a slight chance at Hammons.
Stefanovic was named an Indiana All-Star today. Congrats to him on his accomplishment.
Yes good for him. Obvious choice though.
As far as Mr. Basketball - maybe not so obvious - I suppose you go with Kris Wilkes's talent over Jack Nunge's great senior season, and the talent of Williams? No real preference here as none of the finalists turned out to be Boilers, although I enjoyed Jack Nunge's play in the HS tourney.
MBB Finalists are:
Cloverdale’s Cooper Neese (committed to Butler), Castle’s Jack Nunge (Iowa), North Central’s Kris Wilkes (UCLA) and Fort Wayne Snider’s Malik Williams (Louisville).
Prep school in California.I bet Wilkes will get the Mr. Basketball title.
BTW, what happened to Paul Scruggs? Did he have a poor senior season or did he transfer to a prep school?
I think your memory is pretty goodI don't think Purdue "officially" retires numbers. I heard once that part of the beef between Rick Mount and the program was that Keady let Woody Austin wear the #10. Not sure. I think they just put the numbers on banners for the AAs but don't necessarily retire them.
