To knock off Kansas for us before being obliterated by an average school in the second round. Although I think MSU has a decent shot against Kansas too.

You guys are delusional. No way MSU beats Kansas if they even win their first game. Their guards are horrible. If by some miracle that were to happen I pray to God that we are there to take advantage because I don't know how MSU possibly beats us with their guard play either. In all honesty they probably should not even be in the tournament but I guess they get credit for playing a tough schedule even if they failed to win any/many of those tough nonconference games. I'd be just fine with them going down in the first round again.

I agree with ALL of the above......however, given my horrible record w/ tourney picks the last few years......the opposite is MSU wins.

Sorry TC, but I think Izzo is the better coach and he's going to find a way to beat Kansas. I really do.

I have to go with TC 3 here. Tumtum and that other fool will get eaten alive by KUs guards. This is an odd Izzo team in that he really does not have strong consistent guard play. Every once in a while, they look good enough, but then screw up the next time. I say KU in a 20 point win. Hope I am wrong. I would love for the BIG to put down the BIG12 guys.

If MSU had Eron Harris maybe I could see some sort of miracle win but other than getting every call in both games don't see how they'll be able to pull it off. And it's not like they are going up against some no name coach from Kansas either

Even more the reason they shouldn't have gotten in . I'd forgotten all about his injury

Indiana might not be in the field, but quite a few former Hoosiers are. From Pat Forde's column on Yahoo Sports:

"Indiana is notably absent from the field of 68, but some of its castoffs are still around and will be competing this week:

Hanner Mosquera-Perea (52) is a starting forward for East Tennessee State, averaging 8.4 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. Perea was dismissed at IU in May 2015.

Peter Jurkin (53) is a little-used backup center at ETSU. Prior to that he was a little-used center at Indiana from 2012-14.

Luke Fischer (54) transferred out of Indiana after one semester, citing homesickness. The Wisconsin native moved to Marquette, where he’s now a senior and the Eagles’ fourth-leading scorer (11 points per game) and leading rebounder (5.9).

Mike Davis (55) is taking Texas Southern to the NCAA tourney for the third time, 11 years after he left Indiana. Davis has taken seven teams to the tourney: three at Indiana, one at UAB and now three in five seasons at Texas Southern."

Davis would make a great replacement for Crean.

MSU is horrible. They would have never made the tournament, but the committee figured they would never hear the end of his whining. I have lost all respect for him. He is no longer a coach. He just continually bitches at the refs. It's very stale.
How they got a 9 Seed is beyond me. Vandy is the only team with a worse record in the tourney. Wisconsin should be ticked being an 8. Finish 2nd in the conference and go to the Big Ten Tourney Championship game and get an 8? That sucks.

I really think that they turned down the NIT home game because they will keep Crean.

Think about it: a home game now has the Peegsters booing and making a scene over him. That puts pressure on getting rid of him. But if they lose and decide to keep him then the time until next season let's the pressure die down.

Lots of rumors down in B Town...........and that fanbase is about to explode. Circus.

Great point....Two Tone will be back next year for sure. And the "uproar" is by about 15 folks on a internet forum as obscure as their basketball team.
