I bet either could be convinced to come to W. Lafayette to rebuild the program.
I'd rather them than Gruden and Cowher. Those guys just aren't good enough coaches for us.
An IU fan trolling, how precious.I bet either could be convinced to come to W. Lafayette to rebuild the program.
I don't think you know what sarcasm isIt's almost as if your stupidity grows by the day. Go seek medical help.

I see you're back from crying yourself to sleep last night.I do, and you still fail miserably at it.
I'm back from being smacked around on these boards last night.
Thought I'd be in a better mood after another weekend of administrative inaction.
Nope, they finally couldn't ignore the brand damage being done. I'm still a moron.
An IU fan trolling, how precious.
Who said I'm upset? It wasn't me. I'm fine with it. Honestly, 9-32 says it all.Fixed it for you, Sally. You're the only one here upset about Hazell'so firing, and I'm positive you'll be crying yourself to sleep tonight.
We can't afford Ditka, but I have it on good authority that MBob is in talks with Mini-Ditka's agent. No!! You are all wrong. We need Ditka!!
"da Boilers"......has a good ring to it.![]()
You wish.I bet either could be convinced to come to W. Lafayette to rebuild the program.
You wish.
Sir, are you on crack? There is NO way Saban or Meyer would end up at Purdue. Of course you can say it's worth a shot, but in what world would they consider Purdue? Don't get me wrong, we can both wish the impossible happens... But it's not going to happen unless we as a program become nat'l title contenders... And even that is years (maybe decades) away.Let's be honest with ourselves. I recognize that that might be difficult, but let's try. Meyer and Saban haven't really prove that they are able to turnaround a program as bad as Purdue. Alabama and tOSU are historical blue bloods - how hard is it to win there? If they want to cement their legacy, they will come to W. Lafayette and lead us to the promise land.

Jim Tressel!!!
And I'd take Harbaugh over Saban or Meyer in this hypothetical. Fuggin' love me some Harbaugh.

I understand what you're saying, but when was the last time a top-tier coach left a top-tier program without reason for a bottom of the barrel power 5 team? We can only hope, but all I'm saying is it's unlikely. Coaches like Saban and Meyer have already proven what they needed to prove by building up programs in the past. They've taken programs to new heights before... Why start over again? Their legacy is basically established.I just don't see it that way. You'd think they would like to build a legacy beyond being great with blue blood programs. Imagine what people would say about them if they'd come here and led us to a championship.
I don't know, Saban's getting a bit long in the tooth. I think I'll pass on him. I am thinking Mike Tomlin, young fiery guy.I understand what you're saying, but when was the last time a top-tier coach left a top-tier program without reason for a bottom of the barrel power 5 team? You guys are funny, bravoAgreed.
Mike Tomlin has had it too easy. How hard is it to coach the friggin Steelers?!? One of the greatest NFL franchises of all-time! He needs a real challenge to prove his enduring greatness, and I think he would accept the challenge and leave the Steelers for West Laffy. We'd probably have to pay him at least $3mm tho. Maybe not.
Due to his age, he might be an even better "get" than either Saban or Urban.
And back to the Grudens: I would maybe take Jay, but Jon has been out too long.Agreed.

Tic, tic, tic, tic, tic,.... I'm trying to cover all of the post in this thread that didn't have tic to make it obvious.
No doubt, Kyle Ralph is a superstar in the making. But, he needs to start off as an offensive line coach in the Big Ten first and work his way up from there. Our new coach would be wise to consider hiring him.I know everyone will dismiss it. Purdue goes after retreads and guys wanting to make Purdue what they aren't!
Someday someone is going to give Kyle Ralph a chance to show what a seriously good coach he is. Does Purdue have the guts to risk it all?

I know several guys on the staff, and they all say he's a "football savant". And he connects with and motivates the kids like no HS coach I have ever seen.I would pay him ever he wanted to start him out with that express knowledge that he's on a fast track. He is an amazing football mind. I live in Florida and they even keep an on him down here.

Can someone please bring Bear Bryant back from the grave? I have it on record we plan on hiring him.
