He will turn that program around as long as the A.D. and he are on the same page. Presumably, one is not hired unless that is already the case......but we've seen so many examples where that is simply not the case (Wright State).

are you saying the AD didn't get along with Donlon during the initial hire? how do you know that?

I liked the old coach they fired. Remember, they lost three starter level players for the season. I think Eddie deserved another year IMHKO. Eddie came in when the program was really a total mess and had to rebuild from the bottom up without that much help from the administration.
