I know court/field storming seems to happen more across nation anymore but when it is for significant games like tonight, it never gets old. Unfortunately I had to work tonight and couldn't be at the game but saw videos of storming the field and it looked like a blast.
I've been part of 2 court/field rushings. One was Hummel's freshman year vs Wisconsin when his block sealed it and the Kerrigan led Boiler upset of OSU. Good times
Boiler Up!!

Are you from Crawfordville? I am from Darlington.

1997 vs Notre Dame. Met Don Hein too on the field trying to find Joe Tiller.

I was at all 3, too! Each was amazing.

The '97 ND win was completely out of the blue since Purdue had just lost at Toledo the week before in Tiller's debut and was riding an 11-year skid against the Irish.

The '97 MSU game was the wildest finish I've ever seen and started a three year run of improbable Purdue wins over Nick Saban's Spartans.

And what else can we say about the '00 OSU game except Holy Toledo!

Short drive to Ross Ade

I'm a WeBo (Western Boone) grad but have lived in Southmont district for about 20 years now. My son graduated from South and I have two kids still there.
It's a nice short drive up 231 and by the airport and you're there

The 92 Bucket game. We intercepted Trent Green in the endzone late in the game to seal it.
Rushed the field, tore down the goal posts. Several thousand students carried the goal posts across campus and threw them into the Wabash River.
I still remember the PA announcer saying something to the effect "DO NOT TAKE THE GOAL POSTS OUT OF THE STADIUM"

I was at that one too - was a student. I actually got hit by the goal post on its way down. It was still great. I think the announcer actually created the idea of taking it out of the stadium.

It was a classic moment. I'm my foggy memory serves me, I think it was carried right down State street in front of Harry's. No cell phones back then so good video of it.
