Don't know if this is a Halloween joke or not but just relaying that an insider is reporting that Pat Narduzzi will be the next head football coach at Purdue University with a 6 year $21 million contract.

Mrs. Narduzzi?

Today I had direct email communication with a BOT member and this is not true. They're still reviewing candidates.
Hopefully the BOT is not reviewing any candidates. MB2 needs to find his man, get Mitch to sign off, and then have the BOT rubber stamp. The only role the BOT should be playing right now is giving MB2 a budget and a vision on what type of coach they want. MB2 should be decision maker.

If this email about BOT review is accurate, that has me worried. At this early stage they should not even be involved except for the areas you detailed. Do other P5 schools have as much BOT type oversight on AD affairs? Maybe they do, but it sure seems PU is hamstrung in the AD decision making arena.

I did not mean to say that the BOT was reviewing candidates. I don't know if they are or not. I meant "they" in the sense of the search committee (if there is one) and the Purdue athletic dept administration.

I'll rephrase my post: A new HC has not yet been selected. Candidates are being reviewed.

Got it. Thanks.

And Bobinski needs to keep Morgan far, far away from this.

FWIW/JMO-- Narduzzi *seems* like a natural fit, but he puts his foot in his mouth an awful lot for a HC. Can't argue with his defensive chops, of course, but still think you guys can do better.

PSU fans always enjoy yanking Pitt's tail and vice versa. It's kinda dumb, not as if an old oaken bucket is at stake. :D

Mike Burghoff seems to know all about football so why not choose him! tic He liked Hazell and predicted a turnaround year as you should remember.

Absolutely!!!!!!!!! Well, I dont really know or would I probably agree with their vision. Mediocrity is a hard thing to strive for.

Didn't he say he was 100% behind "getting Purdue football back to the middle" Or something to that effect?

I just remember seeing him palling around with Pete Quinn at a recent Spring Game trying to break a $100 bill at a concession stand in jeans and a blazer. Yeah, he's "that guy."

You sure you want another coach that has a Z in his last name?
