But VE is way closer to running this style than Basil IMHO

And Ingram is a top flight athlete and top 5 pick. VE is an average at best athlete who is more smooth than athletic. The same can be said about Valentine. Both Valentine and Ingram are great athletes and though VE could become a great player, he won't out athlete anyone from a major program.

So is Valentine an average or great athlete? You said he's both. Vince definitely has a vertical and you can't deny that. He is not as quick as I'd like him to be. He is definitely not an average athlete.. Not many players can throw down some of the dunks he made this year.

I'm speaking of Valentine being a better athlete overall than VE. Vince is an above average athlete and he does have good jumping ability... But he is more smooth than high ability athlete (Troy Williams from IU and Ingram from Duke). VE has a hard time putting the ball on the floor and getting in the lane against players at the SF/true wings and it showed this year.

Vince is a lot like Smooge. He will lull you into thinking he isn't that athletic.
When in reality he is just that smooth.

Hopefully being an upperclassman will give him the confidence to know he can hit a shot whenever we need a shot.
