A tough loss. Would have been the best incoming recruit in a very long time. 4 star and one of the best incoming wide receivers. CJB made a good run and Purdue was heavily considered.

Not bad considering the mess Purdue was in a year ago. Start landing some of those top 300 players and more will follow. We will get there eventually!

Basically, they've heard the pitch, they're interested, but they want to see some results. A wait and see approach.

On a positive side. It's only a verbal commitment. Once Brohm shows people his results, these recruits know who we are are, and just like so many previous recruits did to us, Brohm can flip them from their other commitment. It's a long time between now and signing day. A lot of high school commitments will change between now and then.

And no, I'm not going to post about all the recruits who posted a final 5 only to change their minds at a later date. That list is long.

Especially if the kid feels like the promises made to him were broken. That early signing period may be good for a program like Purdue to not only get their kids locked up early BUT to see some kids who may be unhappy and didn't sign. A program and a recruiter like Brohm may be able to use that to their advantage.
