The WR is one of the most talented in the country, and if he likes what he sees, he could be on commitment watch.
College football recruiting is a different animal. Just because you verbally commit doesn't mean other coaches stop recruiting you.Eh, maybe something to be excited about if he wasn't already committed to Texas. But then again why go on an unofficial visit if no interest?
soooooooo, can he hit a three ? what's his Assist to TO ratio? Can he rebound?
The rules are not different between football and basketball. You can recruit a verbally committed player in either sport. You cannot recruit a signed player in any NCAA sport. (Unless you go thru back channels haha)was not aware of the different rules football. assumed you couldnt actively recruit a committed player.
Correct. Feel like it happens less in basketball - gentlemans rule. The rules are not different between football and basketball. You can recruit a verbally committed player in either sport. You cannot recruit a signed player in any NCAA sport. (Unless you go thru back channels haha)
It's the unwritten rules that differ. Football seems to have no issue with what basketball fans would consider poaching. The rules are not different between football and basketball. You can recruit a verbally committed player in either sport. You cannot recruit a signed player in any NCAA sport. (Unless you go thru back channels haha)
True about B1G coaches apparently having a gentleman's agreement. It may have happened before, but Kelvin Sampson stands out as one coach who who didn't feel he should honor that agreement.Tons of basketball coaches recruit committed players until the end. However most B1G coaches do not. There is almost a quiet understanding amongst themselves. Bc if you think for a minute that if UK's #1 bball target committed to Purdue that Cal would just back off and stop recruiting him. You're nuts.
