Rondale Moore first NFL touchdown

Boom......Baby!

Yeah there were a lot of dumbasses last year coming out of the woodwork when Moore was hurt at the beginning of the season all the way through the draft.

I don't know who's watching it, but Rondale pretty much gave his team 3 points at the end of the half. Under 10 seconds left, he took a little flare pass on the left. He could have gone out of bounds right away to set up a Hail Mary. But he made a move inside, then another, then still got out of bounds with 1 second left to set up Prater for a 62 yard FG. Easily more impressive than the TD catch.

He is showing everyone in the NFL what us Purdue fans knew he could do. Go call to all those teams that did not think he was worthy of a first round pick.

glad he's doing well, but i'm watching the Chargers game and all there is a parade off flags, now I know why I don't watch much pro ball.

Picked him up in fantasy 2 weeks ago. Gotta start him next week. I'm getting nothing out of Claypool (Pitts) and Robinson (Chi) as my top 2 WR picks.

Probably right. Im trying to talk myself into we don't really need to run the ball. Throw it till we get hot. Then keep throwing it. Thought I knew of someone who subscribed to that theory.
that "someone" also refused to give up on the run, had a target of somewhere around a 45/55 mix, and would run even to the consternation of the internet experts... 😉

Everybody remembers the 83 passes against Wisconsin (in a loss). Few remember 400 yards rushing against Northwestern (in a win).

My personal fav: The 294 yards rushing on 50 carries with 5 TDs in the 2000 Bucket game.

Montrell Lowe had 208 yds, and feasted off the right side of the OL the entire game.

Drew was 20 of 29 for 216 yards and 1 TD.

They don’t run much but their rbs ran a higher % of their plays than Purdue did against ND. You won’t be able to run much less than Purdue did against ND and have consistent success in the passing game. If you don’t keep them honest d-line start 100% pass rushing and getting more pressure (I kinda think we are seeing that already) and line backers (if they bother playing any) will immediately drop into pass lanes.

See the last 2 drives of the game once Purdue got down 2 scores and the defense knew running the ball was not an option. Moved the ball by forcing it into some tight windows but ended in picks. Game would have been over much earlier playing that way the entire game.

Agree. You have to have the threat of the run even if it is remote or passing becomes very difficult.

Rondale Moore will be a future All-Pro if he can stay healthy. He has the type of moves that remind me of Barry Sanders.
Dakich went off on the Colts for not drafting him. Then again, he probably would have gotten injured if they took him. That's how it seems to work in Indy.

He pulled a hamstring on a play where he wasn't hit. That pulled hamstring kept him out for a year and it is an injury that tends to recur. As I suggested previously, let's see how durable he is throughout the entire season.

Recurrent Hamstring Injury
"he wasn't hit"

Injuries happen. When you watch the video he clearly hyperextends after contact. You can argue that the contact "wasn't much", if you like, but applying an "injury prone" label isn't very smart.
