Not St. Peter's, Tennessee in the Music City Bowl. A couple thoughts:
1. It completely changed my mood. I highly recommend anyone else who is still upset after Friday do the same.
2. I don't know that I've ever been more proud of a Purdue team in my life. From Broc Thompson playing on no good legs to all the young guys playing due to injuries, just an incredible effort.
3. AOC didn't have his best game, but I'd take him over any QB not named Brees at Purdue in my lifetime. The throw to Sullivan that was ruled incomplete was just incredible. And over and over the guy just makes clutch plays in winning time.
4. I thought the defensive adjustments won us the game. We clearly came out with the idea to make Hooker beat us throwing the ball. But we couldn't get anywhere near their receivers early. We essentially went to prevent type coverage most of the game and made them drive and run the ball. Oh, and Alexander was incredible
5. Payne Durhams run down the sideline late might be my favorite play since Brees to Morales.
6. Tennessee botched the end of the game about as badly is I've ever seen a team do. Horrible play calling and execution.
7. There was a joy and enthusiasm among the players and coaches that just wasn't there during basketball this season.
8. I'm more convinced than ever that 2022 is going to be special. No Bell or Karlaftis. No healthy receivers. No problem.
