Generous to give IU victories over MSU and Purdue. I would think it would be tough to play PSU and OSU on back to back weeks and then rally.

The Purdue predictions are interesting. I can’t see us losing to Syracuse or IU. I think winning 10 games right now would be tough unless PSU is a top ten team or something.

I don't know about Nebraska. The Oklahoma game is their season, IMO. Lose that and they're coachless, win and they get some much needed mo. Rutgers looks pretty good, too (or BC is bad).

It's hard to say after just one game. Here's what I think is realistic--not optimal--just realistic:
1) Take care of business against Indiana State and Florida Atlantic.
2) Win two of the three remaining home conference games (Nebraska, Iowa, Northwestern). All three look winnable, but how often does everything break Purdue's way?
3) Finish .500 on the road. Wisconsin looks like a loss, again. I don't think Purdue will be overmatched in any other road game, but not all of these games are going to break Purdue's way.

That would still yield a 7-5 regular season record and probably a respectable bowl destination.

Pretty optimistic for a team that has only won 2 games or less in a B1G season 86 times out of 122 years playing football and a team that will be first in the history of NCAA football to reach the 700 Loss milestone

Your Purdue predictions are not bad with the exception of Syracuse and IU.

Your IU predictions are way off I fear. Likely to be closer to 4-8.

IU floor is 4 wins. Ceiling is 6. The reason isn’t because they are just awful it’s because of the top 10 schedule. Purdue should be 8-10 wins. 7 should be floor. I hope Purdue beats the crap out of Nebraska and Iowa.

That’s probably close to accurate. That’s a tough schedule.

everyone is overlooking that game vs the Terps, very mobile QB and 2nd road game in a row.

I’ll go with 8-4, 7-5 at worst. Purdue usually pulls out 1-2 upsets and loses a game they could have won. I have mixed feelings about the Iowa and Nebraska games.

Nebraska has the talent but always seems to have something weird happen and they lose. I expect their coach to be fired mid season when his buyout is cut in half. A coach’s firing is very emotional on players! I recall Hope was informed after losing to Minnesota that he was not going to be retained. I have to believe his players knew it. So Nebraska could rally under a new coach. Or they could just mail it in after he is fired.

Purdue always does well against Iowa. I have to believe Iowa wants to change that. We all agree Iowa is always a bad offensive team. And they are boring. And their key to winning. Is to get an early lead and then hold onto it.

syracuse and Maryland are kind of mystery games, but I see them as wins.

I also see Northwestern, Minnesota, Indiana and Illinois as wins.

Indiana st is a win .

I’m disappointed Purdue didn’t beat PSU. But PSU is a top 25 team. And Purdue even in losing proved they were capable of playing and beating a top 25 team. Purdue can beat anybody on their schedule. However, injuries will play a key as well as play calling to close out games.
