We are delusional to think we will ever be competitive until recruiting improves. When they announced Hazell as the new coach, I was extremely optimistic that recruiting would improve as it was bad in Tiller's last few years and terrible in the Hope years. The first year you give Hazell a pass; in the second year, you hope to see improvement; and in the third year, you are expecting to see a major leap forward.

Looking at the 2016 recruits so far, other than Shuman, the rest of Purdue's commitments have only 6 Power 5 Conference Offers, combined, and 3 of those 6 are Illinois offers - not exactly a power house football program. Compare that to ACC door mat, Wake Forest University, which has 6 commits that EACH have 5 or more Power 5 Conference Offers.

As long as we keep recruiting MAC level players, we will continue to lose all but 2 - 3 games a year, at best.

What I don't understand is our QB's look below average, while we make other teams QB's look good, why is that???
