Anyone remember the details behind the recruitment of Ryan Baker (football)? Wasn't he originally a Domer commit, then flipped very late in the game?

I'm trying to get a sense of just how long this situation with Swanigan might drag out.

Just Googled it. According to some ND blog "Baker committed to Notre Dame in late January of 2004 and then decommitted only to wait a month and a half after signing day deciding on attending Purdue."

Chazmyn Turner, our DE, waited like about a month and 1/2 after signing day to sign with us. He committed, than didn't sign and looked at other offers, and finally signed in March.

I don't think you can draw any comparisons. The reality for Swanigan is that he can (and may) wait until the start of summer school, which is mid-June.

Shoot, if the MSU article is to be believed and Swanigan didn't want to show up in East Lansing until August, he could skip summer school and wait until August. But I don't believe that article to be true and that decision likely wouldn't endear him at all to his new coaching staff.

I know that Barnes wanted Caleb to strictly play the 4 and when he told Izzo that Tom said "I can't promise you he will play the 4. I will play him where he helps the team the most"
